Looking Back at 2010 - Q3

Hmm...looks like things didn't slow down over the summer either.

We celebrated the 4th of July with family, sparklers, and root beer floats.

Ada loved her new "hat", and going for bike rides with Papa.

My sister's bridal shower.

Favorite summer outfit, and playing with her new shades.  Still a popular item even in winter.

We also had a wonderful visit from my in-laws:
We went to the farmer's market,

the zoo,

visited with relatives,

and of course we had to make a stop at my new favorite ice cream shop.  The Black Cherry Rum is NOT to be missed!

Time spent playing with the new ladybug sprinkler,

and some last snuggles with Gramma and Bumpa before they had to head home.

A new apron for Aunt Sarah's birthday

Also in the top ten for this year.  A sweet girl stepping away from Mama for a short cry under the trees.

We had some beautiful sunsets this summer.

The wedding.

Learning to brush her teeth.

Helping Grandpa put together new bookshelves for our basement.

And the picture that marks the day I ran over a laid-out tape measure and sliced my toe open, while Chris was out of town, and had to go to Urgent Care with my sister and Ada to get a tetanus shot.

Running in our new family tent.

Wrapped up in her new quilt from Katie.

First time at the beach.

A weekend alone to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary.

And the surprises I found in the basement of the local gift shop near our B&B.

Last days of summer.

And the first days of fall.

Looking Back at 2010 - Q2

 Spring was busy, busy, busy.

Photos that remind me there are many projects still in the state of "in progress".  Luckily I'm still loving all these fabrics so no worries that I'll be tired of working with them. :)

Easter was wonderful this year; with lots of great pictures to remember it by:

This last one is destined to be a huge print hanging on the wall.  One of my top ten favorite pics of the year.

And this one is on Chris' top ten list.

Love that I've taken pictures of the everyday things.  Love having a record of the little things she's loved.

Lots and lots of walks last spring.  Ada's always sure to point out the birds and puppies we see along the way.

Yup, this one's in the top ten too.

And the introduction of one of Ada's absolute favorite movies; Sesame Street's 25th Birthday Musical Celebration.  Love the hair.

The rounds of diaper laundering.

And loving that the time of year for flip-flops had come.

Pepper and tomato seeds coming up.

Lots and lots of pics taken for Ada's first birthday:
A new dress from Gramma Koranda.

Hours and hours spent working on the poms.  It was worth it; don't you think sis? :)

Lots of birthdays and a graduation.

My irises; passed down from the ones that grew in my Great Grandma's yard.

More Sesame Street viewing.

Gatherings with family, both near and far.

Moving to her "big girl" car seat.

Potatoes coming up in the garden.

Strawberries from Mom's house.

A new pool.

And a new kitty.

Whew - half way through the year!

Looking Back at 2010 - Q1

Wow; looking back I can't believe how much can change in a year.  It's bittersweet seeing how much Ada's grown since last January.

A year ago she was crawling around and trying to pull herself up on everything.  These days she's running, screaming, and dancing around the house.  Her hair also amazes me; it has really grown in the last 6 months or so.  Oh yeah - she hadn't learned the word "no" yet either.

Here's our sweet girl with Aunt Sarah on January 2, 2010:

And other favorite pics from January through March:

 Sigh; love that hair. :)

Andrew is still her favorite stuffed animal; although I'm noticing he looks a lot cleaner in this photo from mid-January.

9 mos.

First time touching snow, Feb. 8.

Oh for the days when I could snuggle her against me in the sling.

Valentine's Day

One of my favorite outfits to dress her in.  Sweet and cuddly.

At the aquarium in Duluth with Papa.

Presents from Gramma and Grandpa Bumpa after a trip back to Cayman.

Somewhere there's a picture of me when I was about this age, lying in the middle of the living room with newspapers spread far and wide around me.  Adding this to the list of stories for the scrapbook.
