Looking Back at 2010 - Q4

We're almost through the year!

First up a last few shots from September:

Girl Scout Reunion: 

It was great getting to go back to Camp Greenwood one last time; it was sold this fall so will no longer be a Girl Scout camp.  I went to camp every summer for years, and we had lots of overnight stays there as a troop.

October started off just right, with a pumpkin!

A new table and chairs for her room.  Definitely a favorite hang-out for puzzles, reading, coloring, etc.

We have to get chickens.  This was Ada's first encounter and she chased them all around the yard.

Business trip for me to San Jose.  Unfortunately I spent most of it in my hotel room working on an itsy-bitsy laptop.  This was the view out my window.

Video games; I got sucked in to Harvest Moon for many hours this fall.

Cupcakes we got to bring home from a birthday party; they were so, so good!!

One of Ada's newer favorite things - drinking all the milk from her cereal bowl.  She LOVES cereal and milk. :)

Hanging out on Thanksgiving.

Just generally being industrious.  She is almost always working at something.

This was a morning she was home sick recently.  Fever of 102; lots of movies and snuggling.

Driving the car through Papa's office is another favorite activity.

And she finally figured out how to use the sit 'n spin.

The Christmas season involved lots of holiday movie watching, exclaiming at all the "sparkle lights" we pass on the drive home each day, playing with her nativity sets, seeing snowmen everywhere (she's a big fan), eating cookies, and of course opening lots of presents.

And one last winter necessity; getting "warm feet" at the heating vent.  And check out how long that hair is!

So many memories from this past year; and so thankful to have captured so many of them in pictures.  I've really enjoyed looking back at the year, but I have to admit I'm really looking forward to 2011.

Looking Back at 2010 - Q3

Hmm...looks like things didn't slow down over the summer either.

We celebrated the 4th of July with family, sparklers, and root beer floats.

Ada loved her new "hat", and going for bike rides with Papa.

My sister's bridal shower.

 

Favorite summer outfit, and playing with her new shades.  Still a popular item even in winter.

We also had a wonderful visit from my in-laws:

We went to the farmer's market,

the zoo,

visited with relatives,

and of course we had to make a stop at my new favorite ice cream shop.  The Black Cherry Rum is NOT to be missed!

Time spent playing with the new ladybug sprinkler,

and some last snuggles with Gramma and Bumpa before they had to head home.

Also in the top ten for this year.  A sweet girl stepping away from Mama for a short cry under the trees.

We had some beautiful sunsets this summer.

And the picture that marks the day I ran over a laid-out tape measure and sliced my toe open, while Chris was out of town, and had to go to Urgent Care with my sister and Ada to get a tetanus shot.
